PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Fulbright English Teaching Assistant,

September 2015-July 2016

● Won a U.S. State Department Fulbright grant through the Bulgarian-American Fulbright Commission
● Taught over 400 8th through 11th-graders the English language
● Planned lessons and organized after school clubs and activities, such as conversation hours and volunteer work
● Worked with the BEST Foundation (Bulgarian English Speech and Debate Tournaments) to coach and prepare my school’s team for competitions in categories such as Poetry Interpretation, Prose Interpretation, and Original Oratory
● Volunteered teach primary school kids a few times a month

AWARD: Small Schools Division 1st Place – The BEST Foundation held a regional competition for high schools in Northwest Bulgaria. The speech and debate team I coach at my school, Yordan Radichkov Foreign Language High School, won first-place for overall best performance for the Small Schools Division (teams with 11 and fewer participants).
